Communication breakdown in healthcare could lead to expensive and painful consequences. This is more difficult when bias, anger and judgments prevent understanding the needs of an angry individual. The knowledge of individual positions and interests will generate honest empathy and eliminate interpersonal triggers of verbal and nonverbal conflicts.
