Transfusion-related risks associated with intraoperative immunoadsorption compared to plasma exchange transfusion in neonatal patients undergoing ABO-incompatible heart transplantation
Abstract
The aim of the proposed pilot study is to evaluate the transfusion-related risks associated with intraoperative immunoadsorption compared to PET in neonatal patients who undergo ABO-incompatible heart transplantation. Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are present in an average of 40,000 births per year in the United States, accounting for almost 1% of total births per year.
